WAR MEMORIAL
Malton's iconic war memorial is managed by the Town Council. It occupies an interesting elevated corner site at the junction of Horsemarket Road and Yorkersgate. It is mainly constructed of heavy Yorkshire stone with a flat memorial garden area to the rear of the main memorial plaques, with graceful memorial benches. 2019 has seen a comprehensive overhaul of the site including structural repairs, the addition of wrought iron railings and some new planters.
